Installation Tips
  • Prevent impact to the edges and the side that will be exposed visually
  • Store Selex boards in a dry, weather-protected environment.
  • Avoid direct contact with the ground.
  • Store boards horizontally.
  • Stabilize the board by placing it in its final location 2 to 3 days in advance.
  • Protect the board’s face, back and edges when installing.
Mounting Tips
  • Nails, screws, or glue can be used, depending on your plans.
  • Use copper or galvanized nails and screws. Iron nails can produce surface stains on the board.
  • Wipe the board surface with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Always consider applying varnish or paint to the edges of the board.
Finishing Tips
  • If you are applying paints, varnishes, or surface finishes, prepare the surface with 150-grit sandpaper.
  • If you are planning on applying glue to the board, prepare the surface with 100-grit sandpaper.
  • Wipe the board surface with a clean, dry cloth.
  • Always consider applying varnish or paint to the edges of the board.
